"Rach 3"

These days I've been listening to Rachmaninov's 3rd Concerto (by Yefim Bronfman) quite often. To me, it's a very nice composition, and the cadenza is really, really stunning and impressive.

Rachmaninov really wrote out his feelings and in this piece I can imagine sceneries and feel the atmosphere while listening to it. An excellently executed interpretation by Bronfman.

There are 2 climaxes at the second half of the first movement, and the first climax is accompanied by the orchestra, while the second one is the ferocious cadenza. Comparing both, I(subjectively) think that Rachmaninov played out the entire orchestra on the piano.
